The room was very comfortable, the staff were helpful and friendly. It was only a shame that evening meals aren't available.
really relaxing, excellent staff only to willing to help, breakfast was very good and we enjoyed our stay.
the hotel was to hot, turn down the heating.
Our nights stay at The Chequers Plaza Hotel Blackpool was very good. It does exceed its 2 stars. We were greeted by very nice reception staff. On booking I requested aquiet room with a sea view sea view and we got both at no extra cost. £40 for 2 people with a very good breakfast, polite staff and a clean room is excellent value for money. My only complaint was the matteress on our bed did need replacing but apart from that, top marks Chequers Plaza.
Very good value for money. A good location on the Promenade, but away from the noise and bustle of central Blackpool. A much better experience than some of the recent adverse reviews would suggest.
It was very friendly, and relaxing. The food was excelent and the room was comfortable with a nice sea view. We would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
On arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff,as we were celebrating a very special wedding anniversary, they left us a lovely bottle of wine in our room. The dining room was lovely, the staff were very nice no hassle whilst we were eating,no cleaning up tables whilst we were eating,(which I loathe)the breakfasts were very nicely cooked, nice quality bacon and sausage, our room was comfortable, nice bathroom, carpet in room could have done with a proffesional clean to get rid of stains, but all.in all we enjoyed our stay and will return again soon.
Just lack of any entertainment
Location very good. Good for families.
The reception staff on arrival were not very welcoming. However the receptionist on the evening and next morning was very helpful.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. We were a group of four women on an away weekend and felt safe and at home at this hotel. The main road was blocked for road works and traffic was diverted, we asked about places to shop & eat and the staff were very helpful, giving directions and post codes. Very good value for money.
Needs a lick of paint and updating, but due apparently, hotel has recently been taken over.
Socail evening in centre
Only used as a one might stopover for a wedding in Blackpool but the staff were helpful with information about the area and the renovation work ion Blacpool Promenade.
The location was excellent and the breakfast was good.
The lift was broken and my disabled father had to struggle upstairs had we known before we would have cancelled . We managed by swapping our family rooms around amongst ourselves to allow us to stay there. The carpets in some of the bedrooms was very shabby and appeared very dirty.
Me and my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and there was not anything that we could really fault. The lift was broken, although this was not the hotels problem as they lost power from all the work being done along the promenade. From first entering the hotel it was clear that the staff were very friendly and very willing to help in anyway possible (even providing us with information on the travel services available in the area and information on breakfast options and times)! The room was very welcoming and spacious, and surprisingly cosy as it was so lovely and warm! The weather was glorious during our stay so the large fan present in the room was much appreciated to keep us cool during the nights. It offered a stunning side sea view which was exactly as the hotel website had said. The bathroom had a modern theme with stylish components, and even provided a bath which you cannot find easily in any low priced Blackpool hotels. Breakfast was absolutely brilliant, and the choices available suited everyone. Both me and my boyfriend are vegetarian and were not short for choice, especially as the helpful staff were so soon to stock up. Absolutely brilliant hotel!
Hotel was comfortable and clean. There wasn't any entertainment but the bar was open. Overall a nice peaceful hotel.
The room was hot even though the heating was off.
Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. It did what it said on the tin.
Bed needed replacement it was uncomfortable. Bed linen was torn, worn out and not ironed
The staff were extremely helpful and the rooms where very clean
